What happens during gait analysis and walking assessments for children?

Ayub visited the Gait Clinic in Glasgow for gait analysis to see how he is walking and what doctors can do to make it easier for him. The physiotherapist and clinical scientist use fluorescent dots on his legs to measure with cameras how his legs move and use 3D models on the computer. Ayub needs to take off his splints but can use his walker if he needs it. This test is used for children who have difficulty or pain when walking, children who have falls and trips and also to provide the right support for children with Cerebral Palsy.
